SUBARU WRX STI tS Project to STI NBR CHALLENGE 2011

Subaru Tecnica International Inc. (STI) will participate in the 39th ADAC Zurich 24h-Race (Nürburgring 24-Hour Race) with a SUBARU WRX STI tS (GVB),tuned by STI themselves. The race will be held from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 June 2011 in Germany.

The Nürburgring is a special racing course. On the Grand-Prix track, speed races such as F1 and the DTM are usually run, while car manufacturers from around the world use the Nordschleife for vehicle development tests.

Based on STI’s SUBARU WRX STI tS complete car, the 2011 competition vehicle has been developed with a focus on thorough weight-saving, enhanced aerodynamic performance taking advantage of its 4-door body, and further improvements in the capabilities of its EJ20 turbo engine. The vehicle will be run in a short VLN series contest on 14 May for the setting to be finalised before it takes part in the actual 24-hour race in June.
