Suzuki Swift Sport world debuts in Frankfurt

Suzuki has announced the line up at the 64th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt.

The new Swift Sport has the same DNA as its predecessor, but reflects the concept of developing a refined sport compact from the new Swift that Suzuki launched in the UK last Autumn.

Swift Sport-exclusive M16A engine offering more power and fuel economy, The performance 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 136 PS (100 kW / 134 hp) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox which enables the car to average 44.1 mpg UK (6.4 L/100km) while having CO2 emissions of 147 g/km. Suzuki plans to launch the new Swift Sport in a growing number of countries, beginning this October, with sales launch in the UK from early next year.
