Ford Racing announce 2.0-liter crate engine

Ford has announced the range of applications for this new line of production-based I-4 crate engines is enormous.

Ford Racing Performance Parts 2.0L NA “Concept” Crate Engine Specs 160 (119 kW / 162 PS) to 175 hp (131 kW / 177 PS) and 145 to 155 lb-ft (196 to 210 Nm) of torque.

The features independent variable valve timing and will be available in the spring of 2012. Other offerings will mirror the new line of powerful and technologically advanced engines in production Ford vehicles, including those with “EcoBoostTM” turbocharging.
