Mercedes-Benz has launched E 300 BlueTEC and E400 Hybrids available in Saloon and Estate versions.
Mercedes-Benz is opening a new chapter in its brand’s core segment and at the same time setting new standards for luxury-class business vehicle. the E300 BlueTEC Hybrid will be sold in Europe and offered as a sedan or estate. It will feature a 204 PS (150 kW / 201 hp) four-cylinder diesel engine and an electric motor that develops 27 PS (20 kW / 27 hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to this setup, the car is expected to average 4.2 l/100km with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.
The E400 Hybrid, on the other hand, has a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine with 306 PS (225 kW / 302 hp) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. It is backed up by the aforementioned electric motor which enables the sedan to return 24 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / 27 mpg combined (US).
